How to Use DataForge

A casual guide to getting your data transformed and ready to go!

Step 1: Upload Your CSV

Just drag and drop your CSV file into the upload zone, or click on it to select the file from your computer.

Step 2: Map Your Fields

In the "Field Mapping & Transformations" table, you can connect the columns from your original file to the new fields you want in your final export.

Special Step: Adding Manual Data (like Security Codes)

If you need to add new data for every row, like a unique security code, create a new field and leave it unmapped. You can then enter the data directly into the preview table.

Step 3: Apply Transformations

Click the gear icon for any field to open the rule editor. You can add rules, use the AI assistant, or write custom formulas.

Step 4: Preview Everything

The "Data Preview" table at the bottom shows you exactly what your final file will look like in real-time.

Step 5: Export Your Clean CSV

When you're happy with the preview, click the "Export CSV" button to download your file.
